Welcome to our Website
- Category: About Us
LEEK RAMBLERS GROUP in the Staffordshire Moorlands meets each Sunday for walks led by a Group Member. They are usually leisurely/moderate walks of 6-8 miles. The first Sunday of each month is a longer, more challenging walk of 9-12 miles with a shorter one of c.5 miles. We also have a monthly shorter c.5/6 mile walk on a Wednesday. During the summer months we have a programme of short evening walks.
We welcome members old and new so why not come along and join us one Sunday and explore the wonderful countryside of the Staffordshire Moorlands, Peak District, Derbyshire and Cheshire borders. New walkers are invited to sample 3 walks and then we would ask that you become a member of the Ramblers. By looking at the Ramblers website you can see the many benefits of becoming a member and also join in a variety of social activities. If you would like any further information about our Group or details of how to join please contact our Membership Secretary or you can join on line by visiting the main Ramblers website.
National Walking Festival is taking place from 3 to 11 September 2016. To celebrate this event, we are doing three walks - please look at our current programme for full details. We look forward to seeing you!
The WALK magazine can now be viewed on line via the main Ramblers website - www.ramblers.org.uk/walk
Did you know that if you book a holiday with Ramblers Holidays through the Walking Parntership they will make a financial contibution to the Leek Group of the Ramblers - any money received will be used towards maintaining footpaths in the Staffordshire Moorlands area.
